OVERVIEW
Superco came to George Cosby Studio to create a clear and compelling editorial document within a highly technical e-commerce context.
As a specialist e-commerce agency, Superco was producing a White Paper focused on migration from various platforms to Shopify — a complex subject that required clarity, authority, and approachability.
The project centred on the design of a long-form editorial piece, produced both as a print publication and an e-book, intended to communicate complex information with confidence and clarity.
THE CHALLENGE & INSIGHT
The challenge was one of communication rather than brand positioning.
The content needed to feel credible and authoritative, while remaining accessible to a broad audience navigating unfamiliar technical decisions. Dense information and technical language risked overwhelming readers or diminishing the value of the insight being shared.
The key insight was that clarity comes from structure and pacing, not simplification.
By treating the White Paper as an editorial object rather than a technical document, the information could be shaped into a clear, engaging narrative — guiding readers through complexity with confidence.
THE OUTCOME
The result was a 45-page editorial publication designed to communicate insight with clarity and intent.
A considered visual system, supported by clear hierarchy, infographics, and thoughtful layout, allowed complex information to be absorbed easily — while maintaining a sense of professionalism and authority throughout.
The White Paper was subsequently selected by Shopify as a standout communication piece, recognising the strength of its clarity, structure, and design.
The outcome demonstrates how careful editorial thinking can transform complex information into a confident, accessible, and credible communication tool.
