OVERVIEW

Ombar came to George Cosby Studio to support the launch of a seasonal product and retail activation within a national supermarket context.

As a pioneering chocolate brand known for balancing indulgence with ethical and wholesome values, Ombar needed to introduce new seasonal products while remaining consistent with their established brand world.

The project focused on creating a set of retail-facing assets — from packaging artwork to point-of-sale materials — designed to engage customers in busy, high-traffic environments.

THE CHALLENGE & INSIGHT

The challenge was to balance playfulness with brand integrity.

Seasonal retail activations demand energy and visibility, but Ombar’s brand is built on care, quality, and ethical credibility. The work needed to feel joyful and celebratory without undermining the premium positioning or long-term consistency of the brand.

The insight was that retail energy doesn’t need to be loud to be effective.

By working within Ombar’s existing visual language — and carefully amplifying it for seasonal moments — the brand could stand out at shelf while remaining recognisable, trustworthy, and aligned with its values.

THE OUTCOME

The resulting activation brought Ombar’s brand to life across multiple retail touchpoints.

Artwork for Ombar’s Easter Egg packaging was designed to feel celebratory and indulgent, while maintaining the brand’s distinctive tone and ethical positioning. This was supported by a promotional leaflet created exclusively for Tesco, designed to drive awareness and engagement at shelf.

A clip strip for Ombar’s Blonde bar further extended the activation — providing standout visibility across Tesco stores nationwide and reinforcing the brand’s presence within the retail environment.

Together, these assets created a cohesive and effective retail moment — helping Ombar connect with shoppers, support seasonal sales, and deliver moments of joy without compromising the integrity of the brand.
